Find a Rental in BC — Live MLS Listings, Updated Daily

RentalGuideBC is a free rental search for British Columbia. Every listing you see here comes straight from the Fraser Valley Real Estate Board MLS and refreshes daily — no stale Craigslist posts, no scam listings, no paywalls. Browse by map, filter by city, price, bedrooms, and pet policy, or drill into a neighbourhood to see what's actually available before you book a viewing.

We cover the whole province, but the bulk of inventory is in Metro Vancouver (Vancouver, Surrey, Burnaby, Richmond, Coquitlam, North Shore) and the Fraser Valley (Langley, Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Mission). Each rental page includes specs, photos, pet policy, parking, and map location so you can vet a unit before reaching out to the listing agent.

How RentalGuideBC Works

1. Search the map

Pan and zoom anywhere in BC. The listings list stays in sync with what's on screen so you never see rentals outside your search area.

2. Filter what matters

City, property type, price, bedrooms, pet policy, parking. Filters stack — combine a $2,500 max with dogs allowed and two bedrooms in one click.

3. Contact the landlord

Each listing shows the listing agent and brokerage. Click through to call, email, or WhatsApp directly — we don't gate contact info.

Renting in British Columbia — the basics

How much can a landlord raise my rent?
In BC, rent can only increase once every 12 months and requires 3 months' written notice. The maximum allowable increase is set annually by the provincial government.
What's the maximum security deposit?
Landlords can charge up to half a month's rent as a security deposit. Pet deposits are separate and also capped at half a month's rent. Deposits must be returned within 15 days of tenancy ending unless there's a valid claim.
Can a landlord refuse pets?
Yes. Pet policy is set per building / landlord and you'll see it on each listing. We surface “Dogs OK” and “Cats OK” so you can filter for pet-friendly rentals.
Where do rental disputes go?
The Residential Tenancy Branch (RTB) handles landlord/tenant disputes — deposits, evictions, repairs, rent increases. Most issues are resolved without a full hearing.
